Assembly Technician – Mayo
Location: County Mayo
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Arcon Recruitment is seeking an Assembly Technician to join an established manufacturing operation in County Mayo.
The successful candidate will assemble components and finished products according to technical instructions and quality standards. The role requires good manual dexterity, attention to detail and the ability to complete accurate, consistent work.
Applications are welcome from candidates with experience as an Electronic Assembler, Production Operator, Product Builder or Manufacturing Operative.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products and components according to drawings and work instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools and production equipment safely.
- Complete mechanical or electronic assembly work, depending on the production area.
- Fit, connect and secure individual components.
- Inspect components before and after assembly.
- Carry out basic product testing and quality checks.
- Identify and report damaged, incorrect or defective components.
- Complete production and quality-control records.
- Maintain accurate traceability of products and materials.
- Follow approved operating procedures.
- Meet daily production and quality targets.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.
- Support other manufacturing activities when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous assembly, manufacturing or production experience would be advantageous.
- Experience in electronic, electrical or mechanical assembly would be beneficial.
- Ability to understand drawings, diagrams or written assembly instructions.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, organised and quality focused.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks to a consistently high standard.
- Good level of spoken and written English.
- Flexibility to work shifts where required.
