Overview

The EV Installer will play a key part in the deployment and upkeep of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Ireland

You will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for advancing sustainable transportation solutions.

Role Responsibilities

  • Install commercial EV charging stations in compliance with Irish electrical regulations and safety standards.
  • Prepare, review, and sign off NICEIC/Safe Electric Installation Certificates.
  • Assist the EV Project Managers/Supervisors to compile the necessary hand over documentation for each project.
  • Adhere to all national safety standards, including Safe Electric and SEAI guidelines.
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of installed EV chargers to ensure reliability and functionality.
  • Perform site assessments to determine optimal equipment placement and power requirements.
  • Ensure integration with existing electrical systems and grid infrastructure.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with warranty and insurance requirements.
  • Educate customers on proper usage and care of EV charging equipment.
  • Address customer inquiries and provide solutions to enhance user satisfaction.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in hardware and software systems.
  • Provide timely response to service requests and minimize downtime for users.
  • Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of installations and maintenance activities.
  • Any other reasonable request in line with this role given by Direct Report.

Qualifications

  • A FETAC Level 6 qualification in electrical installation, or a recognised equivalent, or other recognised qualifications such as those from City & Guilds, or an equivalent European standard.
  • Electricians must have practical experience in electrical work and be familiar with Irish regulations, particularly the National Rules for Electrical Installations (I.S. 10101).
  • Irish SafePass or equivalent
  • Proven experience in electrical installations, ideally within EV charging systems or renewable energy sectors
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and software-based systems
  • Full, clean driving license (B Category)
