Connolly Mercedes-Benz to create 20 new jobs as part of €4.5m investment

Connolly Mercedes-Benz is to open a new dealership in Sligo as part of a €4.5m investment by the motor group, creating 20 new jobs in the process.The group, which has just been appointed as main dealers for Mercedes passenger cars, will open in Collooney in September and it will be one of the largest Mercedes dealerships in the country.

The investment will bring headcount at the firm to 183 with the company planning to start recruitment immeidately.

The motor dealership is run by brothers Kevin and Neil Connolly also has Audi and Volkswagen dealerships in Sligo and Ballina, as well as an Audi dealership in Galway.

The new premises spans 20,000 sq ft and will display up to 15 cars at once.

Neil Connolly expressed his delight at new expansion.
