The Role
Our client, an established motor dealership in Castlebar, is seeking a reliable and hardworking Car Valeter to join its team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing new and used vehicles to a high standard for customer collection and showroom display. This position would suit someone who takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail.
Previous car-valeting or motor-industry experience would be an advantage but is not essential, as training may be provided to a suitable candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and valet new and used vehicles to dealership standards.
- Wash, dry and polish vehicle exteriors.
- Vacuum and thoroughly clean vehicle interiors.
- Clean windows, dashboards, upholstery and interior surfaces.
- Prepare vehicles for customer collection and showroom display.
- Carry out final checks to ensure vehicles are presented professionally.
- Maintain valeting equipment, products and work areas.
- Move vehicles safely around the dealership premises.
- Report any vehicle damage or issues to management.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Support the wider dealership team when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous car-valeting, vehicle-preparation or detailing experience is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a busy environment.
- A full, clean driving licence is required.
- A positive and professional attitude.
