Project Architect – Commercial Projects
Arcon Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join a growing architectural practice. The role can be based in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, with remote and hybrid working options available for suitably experienced candidates based in Ireland.
The successful candidate will lead commercial projects through multiple design and construction stages. They will chair design meetings, coordinate multidisciplinary consultants and take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects.
Applicants must have at least five years’ experience delivering commercial architectural projects in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial projects through the design, planning and construction stages.
- Manage projects independently with minimal supervision.
- Chair design team and client meetings.
- Coordinate structural, civil, mechanical, electrical and other specialist consultants.
- Manage project programmes, resources, deadlines and deliverables.
- Prepare and review architectural drawings, design information and tender packages.
- Work with the technical team to produce coordinated construction documentation.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and relevant authorities.
- Ensure projects comply with Irish building regulations and construction standards.
- Identify and resolve design and coordination issues.
- Monitor project progress during the construction stage.
- Support and mentor junior members of the architectural team.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Architect with a recognised architectural qualification.
- Minimum of five years’ professional experience.
- Significant experience delivering commercial projects in Ireland is essential.
- Strong proficiency in Revit is essential.
- Experience preparing and reviewing detailed construction information, including 1:5 details.
- Excellent knowledge of Irish building regulations and construction processes.
- Proven ability to lead meetings and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
- Strong project management, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage projects independently.
- Must be based in Ireland and have the right to work in Ireland.
