Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Service Electrician to join a leading engineering company supporting water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the West of Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking to work in a varied and hands-on role involving installation, commissioning, fault-finding and maintenance of electrical systems across treatment plants, pumping stations and industrial facilities.
The successful candidate will join an experienced service team and play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation of critical infrastructure throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Installation & Commissioning
- Install and commission electrical equipment within water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Carry out electrical installations on pumping stations and industrial sites
- Install, wire, commission and configure motor starters and associated equipment
- Complete commissioning checks and verification activities in accordance with industry standards
Maintenance & Fault Finding
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently
- Follow electrical schematics and troubleshoot control panel faults
- Support planned preventative maintenance programmes
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete service reports and commissioning documentation
- Issue calibration certificates where required
- Maintain accurate daily records and health & safety documentation
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician
- RECI or ECSSA Certification
- Experience in industrial electrical maintenance and service work
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full Clean Irish Driving Licence
Desirable Experience
- Water and wastewater industry experience
- Industrial automation and control panel experience
- Pump station and treatment plant experience
- Commissioning experience
- Experience working on industrial or utility infrastructure projects
