Overview
Estimating Administrator or Junior Quantity Surveyor required for our client’s estimating department in Mayo
The Role:
- Maintain organized filing system for estimate hard copies
- Correspond with vendors (requests, due dates, inquiries, etc.)
- Heavy use of Excel – creating/updating material lists/count sheets for quote requests to vendors
- Update/maintain Estimating Bid Calendar in Microsoft Outlook,
- Internet research and utilizing other technology/software, as required
- Calling and Emailing Vendors for quotes, qualifications, and other information
- Updating vendor/subcontractor information on company database
- Must have the ability to read and interpret plans
- Experience in electronic takeoff of plans
- Maintain estimating folder for projects
- Maintain the bid log
- Complete Contractor Prequalification forms
- Other duties assigned as necessary
Estimator Experience and Education Requirements:
- A background of, or have undergone training within, the construction or quantity surveying field
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- A basic knowledge of current HSE requirements
- An excellent level of numeracy skills
- Experience with the following software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Document Control Programs
