Our client, a leading builders providers based in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, is seeking to recruit a Yard Person / Storeperson / Delivery Driver / Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join their busy and growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience in builders merchants, hardware, construction supplies, warehouse operations or customer service. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring customers receive excellent service while supporting the day-to-day running of the yard and stores.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with loading building materials and products.
- Pick, prepare and check customer orders.
- Carry out local deliveries in a company vehicle.
- Receive, unload and inspect supplier deliveries.
- Maintain an organised, clean and safe yard and warehouse.
- Operate a forklift safely (training available if required).
- Assist with stock control and regular stock takes.
- Serve customers at the trade counter when required.
- Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service.
- Work closely with warehouse, sales and management teams.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working in a builders merchants, builders providers, hardware store, warehouse or construction environment.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
