Technical Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & Technical Submissions
Location: Castlebar, Co. Mayo | Hybrid working
Arcon Recruitment is seeking a Technical Mechanical Engineer with a strong mechanical services or HVAC background for an opportunity with our client.
This role would suit someone who understands ductwork, equipment technical submissions and the process of developing design information for client approval and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Review mechanical and HVAC design drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare equipment and ductwork technical submissions for review and approval.
- Raise requests for information (RFIs) to resolve missing information or design queries.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and project teams to confirm technical requirements.
- Attend coordination meetings and track submissions through the approval process.
- Work with estimating and procurement teams to review budgets and procurement requirements.
- Hand over approved technical submissions to the procurement team.
Requirements
- A solid background in mechanical engineering, HVAC or building services.
- Experience working on Irish construction projects.
- Good knowledge of ductwork, mechanical equipment and associated building services.
- Experience preparing or reviewing technical submissions.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- An understanding of the steps required to move design information through to client approval and procurement.
- Strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and email.
