**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker specializing in Plastic Injection Moulds to join our dynamic team in Sligo. In this role, you will play a critical part in the manufacturing process, using your expertise in mould fitting, assembly, and polishing to produce high-quality injection moulds. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled toolmaker to advance their career in precision engineering.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Perform fitting, assembly, surface grinding, metrology, and polishing of mould components.
– Accurately read and interpret 2D mould drawings and 3D mould models.
– Work with hot runner feed systems, including valve gate systems.
– Plan and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
– Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production and maintain high-quality output.
**Requirements:**
– Fully qualified Toolmaker with 5 to 7 years of experience post-apprenticeship.
– Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D mould drawings and models.
– Proven experience with hot runner feed systems, including valve gate systems.
– Expertise in surface grinding, fitting, assembly, metrology, and polishing.
– Proficiency with CNC machining and CNC EDM equipment.
– Experience in medical device tooling and/or polymer processing is an advantage.
– Excellent planning, time management, and problem-solving skills.
