Arcon Recruitment, the longest established recruitment agency in the West of Ireland, is currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager on behalf of a leading and rapidly growing company based in Co. Mayo.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a dynamic organisation and take ownership of the full procurement function while working closely with senior management and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full procurement process across the business
- Using and improving internal procurement and stock management systems
- Expanding supplier networks and developing strong supplier relationships
- Negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Coordinating procurement activities with production, design, and site teams
- Managing inventory and maintaining optimal stock levels
- Preparing weekly procurement trackers and monthly management reports
- Managing purchasing and stores personnel
- Monitoring procurement costs and ensuring efficient supply chain operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer role
- Experience within construction, manufacturing, or off-site manufacturing desirable
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Excellent organisational and analytical abilities
- Experience with procurement, stock control, and planning systems
- Strong reporting and communication skills
- Ability to manage and support teams effectively
