Overview

Mechanical Design Engineers required for an Agricultural machinery manufacturing company in Mayo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of 3D Models and 2D Fabrication Drawings for customised machines based on the specification to include hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic elements
  • Working on Solidworks on a number of new and existing machine and product designs
  • Prototyping (some hands on with fitting Team)
  • Liaise with Sales and production staff to produce detailed specifications and designs based on individual customer requirements
  • Liaise with production management and staff prior to and during fabrication and assembly of customised machines
  • Generation and Maintenance of User and Technical Manuals for finished machines
  • Provide Technical support as part of the after sales service

Essential Criteria:

  • Have a hands on approach and can-do attitude
  • Degree in engineering or qualified by experience
  • + 2 years Design experience
  • Strong capabilities in Design for Manufacture
  • Competence in use of Solid Works 3D modelling
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Desirable Criteria:

  • Ideally worked with in the Agricultural or Construction Machinery design and manufacturing industry
  • Have worked within a manufacturing design department
  • Machine or Vehicle design experience
  • PDM experience
  • Whole product CAD experience
