Site Manager Job – Galway City
Our client, a well-established construction company , is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead an established team delivering maintenance, engineering and small capital projects at a major manufacturing facility in Galway City.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager, Facilities Manager, Operations Manager, Engineering Manager or Maintenance Manager looking to take ownership of a busy client site while leading a highly skilled team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, coordinating maintenance and engineering activities, managing client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day site operations within a live manufacturing environment.
- Manage and support supervisors, engineers and operational teams.
- Build strong relationships with client Facilities, Engineering and Operations teams.
- Coordinate planned maintenance, engineering works, equipment installations and minor capital projects.
- Plan labour, materials and resources across multiple projects.
- Ensure works are effectively planned, scheduled and communicated.
- Identify and resolve operational issues before they impact delivery.
- Review project scopes and assist with labour and programme planning.
- Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, quality and housekeeping.
- Support and mentor engineers and site personnel.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Report regularly to senior management.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Site Manager, Facilities Manager, Operations Manager, Engineering Manager or Maintenance Manager.
- Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong client-facing communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
- Experience managing maintenance, engineering or construction activities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge.
