Marketing Manager – Retail

Arcon Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Marketing Manager for a successful retail outlet based in Ballina, Co. Mayo.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and commercially focused marketing professional to lead the company’s marketing activities, strengthen its local presence and increase both in-store and online sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy for the business.
• Create marketing campaigns to increase footfall, customer engagement and retail sales.
• Manage the company’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn where appropriate.
• Plan and coordinate seasonal promotions, product launches and in-store events.
• Produce engaging content for social media, email campaigns and the company website.
• Manage digital advertising campaigns across Google and social media platforms.
• Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements.
• Support the continued development of the company’s e-commerce activities.
• Maintain accurate and engaging website content and product information.
• Manage customer email marketing and loyalty campaigns.
• Ensure consistent branding across online, in-store and printed marketing materials.
• Coordinate photography, video content, signage and promotional materials.
• Work closely with the retail and sales teams to identify opportunities for growth.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, designers, printers and media providers.
• Monitor competitor activity, consumer trends and developments within the retail sector.
• Manage the marketing budget and report on return on investment.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a marketing, digital marketing or retail marketing position.
• A qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of social media, digital advertising and content creation.
• Experience creating campaigns that support retail sales and customer engagement.
• Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and email marketing would be beneficial.
• Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software would be an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and project-management abilities.
• Creative, commercially aware and comfortable generating new ideas.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns and meet deadlines.
• Capable of working independently while collaborating with the wider retail team.
