Arcon Recruitment is seeking an Accountant for a six-month contract in Ballina, Co. Mayo, with an immediate start available.
This opportunity would suit an organised, hands-on accountant who can support a busy finance function, maintain accurate financial records and deliver timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Complete bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
- Manage month-end duties, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Support accounts payable and receivable activities.
- Assist with VAT returns and payroll-related accounting.
- Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting.
- Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with audit preparation.
- Work closely with management and colleagues to meet reporting deadlines.
Skills and Experience
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant with relevant accounting experience.
- Experience preparing management accounts and completing month-end reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Availability to start immediately and commit to a six-month contract.
