Shift Pattern: Rotating day and evening shifts
Arcon Recruitment is seeking a reliable and motivated General Operator for a manufacturing role in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, working on a day and evening shift rotation.
This opportunity would suit someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys practical work in a busy production environment. Previous manufacturing or machine-operating experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate miniature, outsert and large-format folding machines.
- Work with different glue systems across production machinery.
- Monitor production to ensure finished products meet customer specifications.
- Carry out quality checks and follow standard operating procedures.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks in line with training and instructions.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area.
- Work closely with colleagues to support efficient production.
Skills and Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Basic numeracy skills.
- Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Availability to work rotating day and evening shifts.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
