Service Advisor / Receptionist – Car Dealership

Location: Castlebar, Co. Mayo
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Arcon Recruitment is recruiting a friendly and professional Service Advisor / Receptionist for an established car dealership in Castlebar.

This customer-facing position requires excellent communication, administration and organisational skills. Previous motor industry experience would be an advantage but is not essential. Candidates from hospitality, reception, customer service or administration backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and provide a professional first point of contact.
  • Answer telephone calls, emails and customer enquiries.
  • Schedule vehicle servicing, repair and maintenance appointments.
  • Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicles.
  • Communicate customer requirements clearly to the workshop team.
  • Prepare job cards and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Explain service and repair work clearly to customers.
  • Assist with invoicing, payments and general administration.
  • Manage customer expectations and help deliver a positive experience.
  • Support the service and reception teams with daily dealership operations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, reception, administration or the motor industry.
  • Friendly, confident and professional manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good administration and computer skills.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage several tasks in a busy environment.
  • Comfortable dealing with customers in person and over the telephone.
  • A genuine interest in the motor industry would be beneficial.
  • Previous dealership or automotive experience is desirable but not essential.
