Arcon Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a major Data Centre project in Canada.
The position would suit a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, MEP, specialist subcontracting or large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial activities across assigned project packages.
- Prepare project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
- Manage subcontractor procurement and commercial agreements.
- Assess valuations, variations and change orders.
- Monitor costs against agreed budgets.
- Prepare commercial reports and progress claims.
- Work closely with Project Managers and engineering teams.
- Manage subcontractor accounts through to final account.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Support the overall financial performance of the project.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related commercial discipline.
- Relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
- MEP, mechanical or electrical QS experience is highly desirable.
- Data Centre experience would be advantageous.
- Pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial or specialist subcontractor experience will also be considered.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Ability to work effectively within a major project environment.
