Sales Representative / Business Development Executive

Our client is seeking an ambitious Sales Representative / Business Development Executive to join their growing team, covering the Midlands region.

This is an exciting field-based role responsible for developing new business while managing an established customer base across the region. The successful candidate will promote a range of products to retailers, convenience stores, garages, forecourts, service stations, motor factors, automotive parts suppliers and motor dealerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities throughout the Midlands.
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
  • Build relationships with retailers, garages, forecourts, motor factors and automotive businesses.
  • Promote new products and seasonal promotions.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and market share.
  • Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and weekly sales reports.
  • Plan customer visits and manage your territory efficiently.
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify new business opportunities.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and after-sales support.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous field sales or business development experience.
  • Experience selling into motor factors, automotive aftermarket, retail, convenience, hardware, builders merchants or forecourt sectors would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially focused and target driven.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Full clean driving licence.
