Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Tendering Engineer / Project Engineer to join a leading engineering company delivering water, wastewater and pumping infrastructure projects throughout Ireland.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to work on a variety of municipal and industrial projects, supporting both the tendering and project delivery functions of the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, commercial, design and project teams to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Tendering & Design

  • Review tender documents, specifications and client requirements
  • Interpret technical and commercial requirements associated with tender submissions
  • Develop engineering designs and project bill of materials
  • Prepare P&ID drawings and tender layout drawings where required
  • Review commercial terms and contract conditions
  • Prepare technical tender submissions and supporting documentation
  • Assist with Health & Safety and Quality submissions

Engineering & Project Delivery

  • Support project delivery teams with design, procurement and technical solutions
  • Assist with project planning and programme development
  • Coordinate project activities from design through to commissioning and handover
  • Prepare engineering reports, commissioning schedules and method statements
  • Liaise with clients, consulting engineers and project stakeholders
  • Attend technical meetings and support project delivery where required

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and industry regulations
  • Work closely with HSQE teams to maintain high standards of safety and quality
  • Ensure project deliverables meet client specifications and project scopes

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
  • Experience within a design, tendering or engineering environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Full Irish / EU Driving Licence

Desirable Experience

  • Water and wastewater industry experience
  • Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) project experience
  • Project Management or Site Management experience
  • Process engineering or pumping systems experience
  • Knowledge of industrial or municipal infrastructure projects
