Arcon Recruitment, the longest established recruitment agency in Mayo, is currently recruiting for an experienced HR Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in County Mayo.
This is an excellent opportunity for a HR professional seeking a varied role covering recruitment, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, and health & safety. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to support the ongoing growth and development of the business while ensuring best practice across all people-related activities.
Manufacturing experience would be highly desirable, although candidates from other sectors with strong HR experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full recruitment and onboarding process across the organisation
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Support managers with performance management and employee development initiatives
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and wellbeing programmes
- Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation and HR best practices
- Coordinate training and development activities
- Maintain accurate HR records and reporting systems
- Support workforce planning and succession planning initiatives
- Assist with payroll administration and employee benefits where required
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee experience
- Coordinate and support health & safety policies, procedures, and compliance activities
- Liaise with external HR, training, and occupational health providers when required
Requirements
- Degree or qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Generalist role
- Strong recruitment and talent acquisition experience
- Proven employee relations experience
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Manufacturing experience desirable
- Health & Safety experience or qualification an advantage
