Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Site Manager for a commercial construction project in County Mayo. This is a 12-month site-based contract working on behalf of a Main Contractor, overseeing all day-to-day site activities and subcontractor coordination.

This role is suitable for candidates based in or commuting from Castlebar, Westport, Ballina, Claremorris, Foxford, Swinford, and surrounding Mayo towns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing daily site operations on a commercial construction project

  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site personnel

  • Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to project management

  • Chairing subcontractor coordination and progress meetings

  • Reviewing and implementing method statements and construction plans

  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards

  • Liaising with consultants, engineers, and client representatives

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial construction projects in Ireland

  • Experience working on pharmaceutical or regulated sites is an advantage

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination

  • Experience using MS Project or similar scheduling tools an advantage

  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
