Overview

We are seeking to recruit a Production Team Lead/Setter position with a well established company in Co. Mayo

The shift pattern for this position is Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6am-6pm.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the efficient running of all production equipment
  • Daily handover and communication with Shift Managers
  • Operate production equipment when not completing team lead duties
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the production equipment (where possible)
  • Clearly communicate the production plan to the production team
  • Ensure all available resources are consistently fully utilised
  • Compile a shift handover report for the Shift Managers and send via email where necessary
  • Must attend a 15 minute debrief with the other Team Leader or Supervisors from the previous shift
  • Ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) processes are adhered to
  • Ensure quality control procedures are completed in adherence to the Company policy
  • Ensure full compliance on the Tharstern system
  • Liaise with the Quality Department and Production team to resolve quality issues
  • Work with Planning and Technical on new products
  • Ensure all areas have work available daily with supporting boxes and trays
  • Utilises basic problem-solving skills to continuously improve processes and systems
  • Execute and coordinate employee training
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure good Health & Safety in the workplace

Key Requirements: 

  • Strong product knowledge
  • Print Industry experience is desired
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Proven track record in problem solving
  • Knowledge of production equipment
  • Good team player with strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • PC Literate, results-Oriented, Self-Motivated with excellent Organisation skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
