Overview

We have a new role on with a well established company in Co. Mayo for a Part-Qualified Accountant.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and other financial documentation.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Utilize accounting software for data entry and financial analysis.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance is desirable or a related field
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
