Overview

New Product Development Technician required for our client in Mayo.

As  New Product Development Technician, you will be part of the product development team, responsible for assisting in designing, developing, and optimizing new and existing product formulations.

You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers and clients on production and scale-up processes. Plus, provide technical support  to internal departments including Quality, Marketing and Production.

Responsibilities: 

• Design and develop innovative and high-quality cosmetic formulations.
• Support our Senior Cosmetic Formulation Chemist and lead the scale-up process of laboratory formulations to full production, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Work with our marketing team to understand consumer needs and translate them into new product ideas.
• Work closely with regulatory affairs to ensure all products comply with local and international cosmetic regulations.
• Prepare technical documents, including product specifications, formulation procedures, and safety assessments.

Qualifications/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related science field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• A basic understanding of cosmetic ingredients.
• Experience in product development, formulation, and optimisation is preferred.
• A solid ability to manage relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Research and analysis skills.
• Presentation skills.
• A team player.
