Overview
Our client, a successful food manufacturer, is seeking to recruit an Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimise operations, manufacturing, inventory, staffing and scheduling
- Day to day management of the manufacturing facility
- Manage assigned budgets
- Implement procedures to improve efficiencies and reduce overall costs
- Work with the all other department heads
- Provide regular reports to the Managing director in regard to budgeted KPI’s, Team Training & Development, etc
- Adherence of all company procedures as outlined
- Direct responsibility for full quality and safety compliance, including ensuring adherence to the Food Hygiene and EH&S legislation
- Maintain operating standards and ensure overall operational excellence
- Support the General Manager in appraisals
- Recruitment, Training and Development of all Staff in support of Departmental Heads on site
- Awareness of and adaptable to the Seasonal realities of the business
- Other duties as required by Management
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Experience in Food or Drink manufacturing is a distinct advantage
- Advances communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage, develop and influence a team
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft office suite
- Budget management skills
- Ability to positively implement change
