Overview

You will report directly to the HR Manager, or such person. This reporting situation may change as the organisation responds to ongoing change and business requirements.

 

Purpose of Post

Working closely with the HR Manager and Head of Finance and HR, the HR Administrator will assist with day-to-day HR activities.

 

HR Duties include, but are not limited to

  • Maintaining and updating personnel files and HR systems incl. T & A administration system
  • Contract administration, ensuring personnel records are up to date with contract amendments, increments, change of personnel details, probationary reports and notify payroll of adjustments, as appropriate.
  • Maintaining training records and assisting in the deployment of airport training, co-ordinating training courses, liaising with external providers/skillnet groups and provision of training records for regulatory audit
  • Supporting all aspects of recruitment including undertaking recruitment administration, interviews and the onboarding new staff
  • Providing day to day advice to managers and employees on HR related queries and company policies and procedures, escalating more complex issues to the HR Manager.
  • Preparing routine and ad hoc reports to managers and HR Manager, analysing as appropriate
  • Liaising with external providers on pensions, occupational health, training etc.
  • Promoting employee engagement including staff notices and newsletters
  • In conjunction with HR Manager, support airport community involvement initiatives e.g. work experience programmes and fundraising events
  • In conjunction with HR Manager, develop and implement wellbeing initiatives
  • Lead and participate in other HR admin duties or projects, as requested by HR Manager

 

Payroll duties include, but are not limited to

  • Preparation and processing of payroll and the associated revenue returns
  • Assist Finance team with tasks, e.g. monthly bank reconciliations, that may arise from time to time, as requested by Head of Finance and HR.

 

Role requirements:

  • 2-3 years relevant experience in a HR role
  • Have completed or be undertaking a HR qualification, or other relevant equivalent
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, be self-motivated, whilst also working as part of a team
  • Committed to delivering high standards with can do attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong analytical and computer skills, specifically in MS Office and HR systems
  • Conscientious approach to work and ability to deal with issues with empathy and discretion
