Overview
We are seeking to hire a full-time Accounts Assistant, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, located on the Mayo/Galway border.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry and bookkeeping
- Accounts payable processes and reconciliations
- Subcontractor’s registrations, payments and management
- RCT reconciliations
- Payroll & Expense administration and Liaising with HR
- Other construction administration duties
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with sage accounting software
- Good IT knowledge
- Knowledge of accounting principles and construction industry-specific financial practices
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Understanding of tax compliance and regulations in the construction industry
- Knowledge of ROS
- A background in finance and accounting in the construction industry
- Work well as part of a team
- Willing to learn new systems and procedures and comply with all procedures
- On occasion cover for other staff members (holidays etc)
- Other ad hoc duties that may arise
- Working to deadlines
