Overview
We are looking to recruit an Accounting Manager in Mayo.
Main Responsibilities include:
Accounting:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
- month and end-year process
- accounts payable/receivable
- cash receipts
- general ledger
- payroll and utilities
- treasury, budgeting
- cash forecasting
- revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- capital assets reconciliations
- check runs
- fixed asset activity
- Tracking expenditure and income on Sage 50 Accounts platform
- Producing profit and loss statements and monthly financial reports for management
- Making payments through online banking
- Bank reconciliation
- Completing bi-monthly VAT returns
- Prepare and process subcontractors payments
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
Payroll:
- Processing payroll for 100 employees fortnightly
- Ensuing accounts and customer payments are up to date
- Filling all company documentation
Experience/Skills required:
- Minimum of 5 years in an office accounts role
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 products
- Computer literate
- A good understanding of sage accounts and payroll software
- Logistically and highly organised
- Excellent telephone manner and customer care
