Overview

As BIM Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a business’s BIM strategy, ensuring that projects run smoothly and project information models are delivered on time. The role involves working closely with BIM coordinators and technicians who are responsible for managing the digital process.

The role of BIM manager involves the following responsibilities:

  • Acting as intermediary between designers, clients and architects so that projects run smoothly in relation to the design and BIM process
  • Working closely with BIM coordinators and technicians regarding the production of project information models
  • Making sure that BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project
  • Supporting and auditing the project team and flagging non-compliances relevant to the BIM model
  • Training or upskilling colleagues in specific software programmes
  • Producing regular reports for senior managers, to identify and measure BIM implementation
  • Keeping up-to-date with advancements in building technology
  • Driving the implementation of digital information plans and strategies
  • Leading meetings to identify project tasks and resolve issues
  • Supporting the career development, coaching and mentoring of a team of staff
  • Raising the profile of BIM within across departments and teams

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Essential Skills
  • Experience as a BIM Manager / Coordinator with significant exposure to interiors / fit out projects.
  • In depth knowledge of building regulations and BIM procedures.
  • High level experience in BIM related software such as Revit, Archicad or Navisworks
  • Ability to effectively manage BIM model process and associated schedules to required deadlines.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of ceilings / partitions / drywall would be advantageous
  • Strong I.T skills are essential. (Microsoft Suite including Project)
  • Full Irish driving license

Education & Experience

  • Relevant technical background or third level qualification in engineering / construction related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in BIM modelling and management process
