Overview
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated Storeperson / Van Driver for a busy business based in Castlebar.
This is a hands-on role combining warehouse/store duties with local van deliveries, ideal for candidates with experience in builders’ providers, hardware, or similar environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and organise incoming stock
- Pick and prepare orders for customers and deliveries
- Carry out local van deliveries in the Mayo area
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised store environment
- Assist customers and trade clients when required
- Manage stock levels and report shortages
- Ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently and on time
Requirements
- Previous experience in a storeperson, warehouse, or similar role
- Experience working with a builders’ providers or hardware supplier is a strong advantage
- Full clean Category B driving licence
- Good knowledge of the local Mayo area
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Desirable
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience handling building materials or construction supplies
