Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor (12 month contract role) to join our successful client’s HR Team.
Based in Belmullet, Co. Mayo (hyrbid) , this role will report directly to the HR Manager and be an integral part of the HR Team. The HR Advisor will be responsible for all HR generalist activities, while supporting the HR Manager with the delivery of key projects. The successful candidate will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.
What you will do
- Ensure that personnel policies/procedures are reviewed on a continuing basis to take account of any legislative or policy changes to ensure best HR practice.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection of key positions, including advertising, system actions, interviewing, offers and onboarding.
- Effectively maintain and support the HR management system, ensuring all employee data is accurate and up to date
- Prepare and maintain all relevant statistics/spreadsheets for the HR Department e.gs. headcount, sickness metrics
- Ensure all information on the company Intranet site (HR area) is kept up-to-date
- Support the HR Manager with all HR projects and related activities
- Organise and support all wellness activities as part of the company wellness strategy
- Act as first point of contact for all employee queries, with the ability to act in a confidential and sensitive manner at all times
- Liaise in a timely manner with the Payroll Analyst to ensure the successful completion of the monthly payroll
- Work closely with the corporate HR team to ensure the effective delivery of HR initiatives and action all requests in a timely manner
- Support the performance management process throughout the year
- Other duties as required
What you will bring
- Minimum 5 years post qualification generalist HR work experience in an operational human resources environment.
- Must have a tertiary qualification in Business, HR or similar
- Must be familiar with current Irish employment legislation
- Demonstrable recruitment and selection experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills based on trust and integrity
- CIPD Qualified
- Previous experience of Workday HR management system desirable
