We are seeking to recruit a Sales Representative in Co. Donegal

Key responsibilities:

Strategy and Development:

  • Liaise/communicate proactively and responsively both internally and externally to ensure deadline and an efficient service is maintained.
  • Ensure accurate attention to detail and consistent adherence to procedures within areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and contribute to good working relationships in the company and with all other relevant personnel.
  • Report to and liaise with your Line Manager or designate of all work-related issues and difficulties.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound calls for any products the customer does not currently have with the company.
  • Be positive and outgoing whilst demonstrating a confident but appropriate disposition to achieve efficient and effective sales development.
  • Work alongside the Managing Director in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess abilities to interpret, understand and summarise customer feedback.
  • Contribute to the continual improvements into the sales operating/management information systems.
  • Work towards achieving your individual sales account targets.
  • Represent the company in a professional, enthusiastic and positive manner
  • Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensure they are understood and practiced.
  • Understand customer needs and ensure alignment with the needs/commitments of the business.
  • Ensure that all sales calls are professionally dealt with and call-backs are made in a timely manner.
  • Improve the productivity of field sales representatives by dealing with customer queries and fielding calls.
  • Follow up on customer queries regarding prices and availability and replying to same swiftly.
  • Support Sales Office Manager with orders, deliveries and customer care.

Day to Day Duties:

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Revert to client questions re: client terms, products, prices and availability.
  • Assess sales opportunities by targeting potential customers, through cold calling or referrals…
  • Analyse the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Network with businesses in the area and build relationships.
  • Deliver sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Prepare, submit and negotiate contracts with prospective clients.
  • Contribute to pricing schedules for quotes, promotions and negotiations.
  • Work to revenue targets and KPI’s as set by the Sales Manager/Managing Director.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with the relevant marketing campaigns.
  • Achieve or exceed agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Attend relevant industry events and conferences to build business.
  • Keep up to date with industry news to identify opportunities for new business.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports
  • Obtaining payments from customers, ensure the customers’ accounts are up to date as per their payment terms
  • Analysing competitor activates in the region and assessing opportunities for business development

Relationship Management:

  • Work as part of the Sales Department to share ideas and improve operations.
  • Contribute to the recommendation and implementation of continuous improvement activities.
  • Use your initiative to cultivate a positive approach to work.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external staff to ensure optimal performance
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers as and when required in a timely way and handle any concerns
  • Liaise with others in the business to monitor requirements and to ensure quality of service.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on cartons, folding and finishing activities

Self-Management:

  • Attend sales meetings.
  • Comply with the JMBL process and procedures, Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
  • Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere.
  • Make useful links to arrive at insightful plans and solutions.
